Understanding the Time Dimension in Power BI

Power BI automatically converts date fields into a built-in hierarchy (year, quarter, month, and day), giving you the flexibility to analyze trends over time, compare performance across periods, and create time-based filters for custom reports and dashboards. This video explains how to use that hierarchy, as well as Pereview’s additional “Year-Month” and “Year-Quarter” attributes, which make it easier to build streamlined reports and preserve accurate chronological order.
